How to Clean Stainless Steel Equipment on Daily Basis

Here is some simple steps for a regular clean-up of your stainless steel equipment.

Step 1: To rinse down the sink and faucets, use hot water. For stove tops, dip a non-abrasive sponge in warm water and clean all the food bits and other residues from the surface. Also, do not forget to unclog the sink.

Step 2: Squeeze a few drops of dishwashing liquid on a sponge and thoroughly clean your stainless steel equipment to wipe away any stubborn stains. Make sure to rinse or wipe the surface clean again.

Step 3: To keep your stainless steel equipments and appliances looking clean and shiny, dry them with a microfiber cloth after every wash. This would prevent mineral buildup and keep water stains from forming on the surface.

How To Deeply Clean Your Stainless Steel Equipment

Though you clean those stainless steel equipment daily, it is not enough as now, and then it needs a deep clean too. Therefore, follow these steps for a deep clean-up of your stainless steel sink and other equipment.

Step 1: To deep-clean your stainless steel sink, rinse it thoroughly with hot water. For faucets and stainless steel stove tops, wipe the surface with a dishcloth dipped in warm water.

Step 2: Sprinkle baking soda on your damp stainless steel fixtures to get rid of food bits and other residues. It will also help remove the residual grease and eliminate any bad odors.

Step 3: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the stainless steel sink and fixtures. Make sure to move your brush in the direction of the faint metal lines or gain to prevent any scratches. For harder to reach areas and edges, use an old toothbrush. Avoid using steel wool, scrubbing pads or hard-bristle brushes as it will make scratches.

Step 4: Once you have scrubbed the surface clean, remove the mineral and soap buildup by spraying diluted white vinegar on the equipment. The vinegar will cut through the water stains as well. Wait a few moments for the vinegar and baking soda to stop fizzing before rinsing or wiping the area.

Step 5: Dry the stainless steel equipment with a microfiber cloth. When it is completely dry, put a few drops of olive oil on a clean microfiber cloth and buff the sink, faucets, stove top and other appliances to make them shine.
